Psychiatrist - Doha

We are currently seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to join our team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychiatric care to patients with mental health problems and disorders, as well as assessing their mental health and providing advice and support to them.

Job Description:

The Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in accordance with accepted standards of medical practice. This includes taking a thorough history from the patient and family members; conducting physical examinations; ordering appropriate laboratory tests; interpreting results; diagnosing psychiatric disorders; prescribing medications and treatments; providing psychotherapy; coordinating care with other healthcare professionals; maintaining patient records; monitoring patient progress over time; evaluating the effectiveness of treatments, referring patients to other specialists when necessary, and educating patients on psychiatric issues.

Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ mental health condition by using various diagnostic techniques including interviews, physical exams, psychological tests, lab tests etc.
- Formulate treatment plans including medication management and psychotherapy
- Monitor patient progress over time and adjust treatments as necessary
- Educate patients on mental health issues including coping skills
- Provide support to family members of patients
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in research projects related to psychiatry when required

Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD) in psychiatry or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in a clinical setting
- Experience with various types of therapies such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy), psychodynamic therapy etc.
- Knowledge of relevant pharmaceuticals including dosages and interactions

Salary: 1400 monthly
