Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Librarian to join our team in Ajman. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-level of service to the patrons of our library. This includes managing the library’s resources, organizing library events, and helping patrons find what they need. The librarian should also be comfortable with public speaking, as they will be delivering presentations and lectures to patrons of all ages.

The successful candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as be comfortable with technology such as computers and databases. They must also be organized and detail-oriented, with strong customer service experience. We are open to considering an immigrant for this role.

Responsibilities
•Organizing library resources such as books, magazines, newspapers, audio/visual materials
•Conducting lectures on various topics related to literature and current events
•Providing assistance to patrons in finding books or other materials
•Organizing library events such as story-telling sessions for children or book clubs for adults
•Working together with other staff members on special projects
•Maintaining up-to-date records of library resources
•Creating book displays and other promotional materials
•Keeping the library clean and organized at all times

Requirements:
•No prior experience required
•Strong organizational skills
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Strong customer service skills
•Comfortable with technology (computers/databases)

Salary: 1500 AED per month
