Job Title: Librarian – Dubai

Salary: 1200 AED/Month

Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain, organize and update the library collection on a daily basis
• Develop and manage library budget
• Assist patrons with research, book selection, circulation and reference services
• Catalog new materials (books) to the library collection as well as update existing records when needed
• Ensure proper maintenance of library equipment and facilities including furniture, computers, printers, etc.
• Create and maintain library databases such as catalogs for books, periodicals, videos, etc.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or similar field is required
• Previous experience in a library setting is preferred but not necessary
• Knowledge of library systems such as MARC or OCLC is an advantage
• Good communication skills both written and verbal are essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
