We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Librarian in Abu-Dhabi, with a competitive salary of 1600. We are open to considering applications from foreign candidates.

The Librarian will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of our library and for providing services to library users. He/She will be expected to be knowledgeable in all areas of the library, including cataloguing, classification and circulation systems. The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance on how best to use the library resources available.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring the library is maintained in an orderly condition;
• Providing information about available resources;
• Assisting patrons with computer search techniques;
• Supervising student assistants;
• Developing and preparing collections of material for borrowing;
• Organizing library activities such as story-telling sessions and author visits;
• Ensuring that all materials are properly catalogued and shelved;
• Performing related clerical duties such as filing and issuing materials.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field;
• Strong knowledge of reference sources in multiple formats (electronic, print etc);
• Experience working in a library setting;
• Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision;
• Excellent customer service skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
