Job Summary:
The Pharmacist will provide professional advice on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications. The pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that medications dispensed to customers are safe and effective. Additionally, the pharmacist will provide education on medication usage to customers in order to ensure appropriate use of medications.

Job Responsibilities:
• Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely according to physicians’ orders.
• Advise customers on the selection, dosage, interactions, side effects, and proper storage of medications.
• Monitor drug therapies by reviewing patient profiles; identifying drug interactions; verifying dose accuracy; consulting with patients about side effects.
• Maintain accurate records on prescription drugs and other items sold in accordance with regulatory requirements; maintain inventory levels by ordering drugs as needed.
• Provide advice to healthcare professionals concerning drug indications, contraindications, dosages, interactions, or adverse reactions associated with drugs or chemicals prescribed or administered to patients.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or related field from an accredited college or university • At least 2 years of experience working as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting or retail pharmacy setting • Knowledge of pharmaceuticals regulations and laws as well as excellent customer service skills • Ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining professionalism • Excellent communication skills
