Job Summary
Al-Kuwait is looking for a qualified Librarian to manage the daily operations of our library. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching materials, cataloging important documents, and ensuring that the library operates smoothly. The position offers a salary of 1400 Kuwaiti Dinar per month. We are also willing to consider an immigrant for this role.

Job Duties
• Research library materials and documents for inclusion in the collections
• Catalog books, journals, manuscripts, photographs, and other materials into the library system
• Assist patrons with locating materials in the library
• Manage library resources including computer programs and databases
• Monitor trends in library usage and maintain accurate records of patrons' borrowing habits
• Provide guidance regarding using electronic resources such as online databases and digital repositories
• Respond to inquiries from library patrons about materials or services
• Train new employees on using the library’s computer systems
• Work with other departments to acquire new resources for the library collection

Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or similar field of study preferred
• Previous experience working as a librarian or in a related field
• Knowledge of cataloging systems such as Dewey Decimal System or Library of Congress classification system
• Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office Suite
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
