Job Summary

Our high-end restaurant in Dubai is looking for a Sommelier with excellent service and knowledge of wines. As the Sommelier you will be responsible for guiding our guests through our wine list and helping them to choose suitable wines to pair with their meals. You will also be responsible for making sure the wines are stored correctly and ensuring that all wine related services are carried out efficiently.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to recommend appropriate wine pairings for each course served at our restaurant to ensure that our guests enjoy their dining experience. Additionally, you will be required to recommend additional beverages such as coffee, tea, or specialty cocktails. You will also need to stay up-to-date on current trends in the wine industry as well as local regulations regarding the sale of alcohol. Further responsibilities include stocking and rotating bottles in the cellar, monitoring inventory levels, and assisting with ordering new supplies when needed.

Qualifications
We are looking for an individual with prior experience in a similar role in a restaurant setting or hospitality industry who is passionate about wine and has a strong knowledge of different types of wines from around the world. You should also have good customer service skills with an ability to provide tailored suggestions to customers based on their tastes and preferences. Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have a professional certification related to sommelier or other relevant qualifications related to this field.
