Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. This position offers a salary of 1000 and we are open to considering foreign candidates. The Optometrist will be responsible for providing high quality eye care services to patients, including conducting eye exams, diagnosing vision problems and prescribing corrective lenses or other treatments.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive eye exams, including visual acuity testing, refraction assessments and ophthalmoscopy
Analyze test results and diagnose vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia
Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses as needed
Counsel patients on the best ways to maintain healthy eyesight
Identify signs of more serious conditions such as glaucoma or cataracts and refer patients to a specialist for treatment
Maintain patient records and document exam results
Provide advice on contact lens use, care and safety
Advise patients on how to protect their eyes from injury or disease
Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in optometry technology

Qualifications
3+ years of experience in optometry
Excellent knowledge of ophthalmologic terminology, anatomy and physiology
Proficiency in refraction techniques (retinoscopy and/or auto refraction)
Outstanding problem solving skills
Good communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in a simple way
