Job Purpose: The Excavator Operator is responsible for operating an excavator to perform various tasks such as digging trenches, loading materials, clearing sites, grading surfaces, moving debris, etc., according to project specifications. The operator must be able to safely operate the machine while maintaining safety standards at all times.

Main Duties:
• Operate excavator according to project specifications while paying close attention to safety standards.
• Load materials into trucks or other vehicles when necessary.
• Move dirt from one site location to another as needed.
• Level surfaces by cutting, filling, compacting soil or asphalt as required for construction projects.
• Dig trenches of various sizes and depths as needed for various types of construction projects.
• Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding the operation of the excavator or other tasks assigned by them.
