We are looking for an Optometrist to join our team in Al-Kuwait. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with no experience, looking to build a career in the optometry field. The applicant should have excellent knowledge of optical products and be able to provide professional advice to patients regarding their eye care needs. The successful candidate will have a salary of 1600 and will report directly to the head of the department.

Requirements:
A degree or diploma in Optometry or a related field is preferred but not essential. Excellent communication skills and a good understanding of customer service are essential requirements for this position. The ideal candidate should be organized, reliable, and detail-oriented with the ability to work with patients from different backgrounds. Additionally, the Optometrist must be proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook etc; Knowledge of EHR systems is beneficial but not essential.

Job Description:
The Optometrist will diagnose vision problems by performing eye examinations on patients using specialized ophthalmic instruments such as retinoscopes or lensometers; they will also test patients’ visual acuity and color vision; they may also prescribe glasses or contact lenses for the correction of vision problems. In addition to these tasks, the Optometrist may also provide advice on lifestyle modifications that can improve eye health such as nutrition recommendations or lifestyle advice. Furthermore, they may refer cases that require medical attention to other professionals such as ophthalmologists or opticians.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations on patients using specialized ophthalmic instruments
• Diagnose vision problems and prescribe corrective lenses or contact lenses
• Provide advice on lifestyle modifications that can improve eye health
• Ensure patient safety at all times by adhering to safety protocols
• Keep up-to-date records of patient’s medical history
• Refer cases that require medical attention to other professionals
