Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sommelier to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the restaurant’s wine program, providing exceptional customer service, and helping to create an enjoyable dining experience for our guests. This is a full-time position offering a salary of 1100 per month. We are open to considering applications from those who are immigrating to Dubai.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the selection, purchase, and maintenance of the restaurant’s wine list
• Advise customers on wine selection to best accompany their meal choice
• Ensure all wines are stored correctly and kept at optimal temperature for serving
• Create pairing suggestions for each menu item
• Educate staff on wines and spirits available in the restaurant
• Maintain knowledge of current trends in the industry
• Handle any guest complaints or issues related to wine service
• Participate in tastings and other events to promote the restaurant’s wine list
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a sommelier in a high-end restaurant setting
• Certification from Court of Master Sommeliers or similar program preferred but not required
• In-depth knowledge of grape varieties, regions, vintages, preparation methods, and food pairings with different types of wines
• Excellent customer service skills; ability to provide knowledgeable advice on wines in a friendly manner
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
