We are currently looking to fill a Civil Engineer position in Doha, Qatar with a salary of 1700. This position is open to immigrants. We are looking for a creative professional who is passionate about civil engineering and has the ability to work well with others.
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and constructing civil projects such as roads, bridges, residential buildings, office buildings, airports, sewers, dams and tunnels. The successful candidate should have excellent problem-solving and communication skills as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
The successful candidate will need to have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program. A Master’s degree is desirable but not essential. At least three years of experience in civil engineering is required for this role; experience working in the Middle East is preferred but not essential. The successful candidate should also have excellent knowledge of drafting software such as AutoCAD or Revit; knowledge of construction processes and principles; knowledge of structural engineering principles; excellent analytical skills; and detailed knowledge of applicable codes and regulations relating to construction projects. In addition, the successful candidate should possess strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: preparing designs according to applicable regulations; performing research on potential sites for development; preparing cost estimates for various projects; developing plans based on technical drawings and specifications from architects or other professionals; supervising construction workers during project execution; ensuring that all safety standards are met during construction operations; evaluating existing structures for repairs or updates according to industry standards; liaising with clients on project requirements, designs and progress updates; preparing reports on project progress or any issues encountered during the course of construction operations.
