Librarian job vacancy in Abu-Dhabi UAE for unskilled worker


Job Title: Librarian
Location: Abu-Dhabi
Salary: 1100 AED per month
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field
• Proven experience in a library setting and knowledge of library operations and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to work with diverse populations

Responsibilities:
• Manage the library operations including but not limited to cataloging and organizing materials, checking out books and other materials to patrons, shelving returned items, monitoring circulation desk activities.
• Prepare necessary reports for library activities.
• Assist patrons with research questions and provide reference assistance.
• Maintain records of acquisitions, circulation statistics, community outreach programs and special collections.
• Establish policies and procedures for the library operations.
• Develop plans for collection development activities.
• Train staff on new technologies related to library operations.
• Participate in professional organizations related to the field of librarianship as assigned by supervisor.
