Job Title: Librarian (Dubai, Salary: 1800)

We are looking for an experienced librarian to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have a passion for books and literature, be able to work with minimal supervision, and have excellent communication and customer service skills. The librarian will be responsible for managing the library’s collections; cataloguing, classifying, and shelving books; helping patrons find the materials they need; maintaining the library’s databases; supervising student helpers; and other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field, with at least two years of professional experience. Foreign applicants are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations of the library including cataloging books, checking in/out library materials, shelving books and other media as needed
• Maintain an organized filing system of all library records
• Supervise student helpers when necessary
• Assist patrons with locating materials they need
• Provide reference services as requested
• Create teaching aids for educational programs
• Develop displays to promote new acquisitions or special collections
• Update computers with new software programs or upgrades as needed

Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field required
• At least two years of professional experience required
• Excellent customer service skills required

Salary: 1800 AED/month
