Librarian - Sharjah

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Librarian to join our team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing library services to the public. The salary for this position is 1000 AED per month. We are open to considering immigrants for this position.

Job Description:
The Librarian will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the library. This includes cataloging and organizing books and other materials, maintaining a clean and safe environment, assisting patrons with their inquiries, providing information about resources, recommending books and other materials, preparing reports on library activities, and collaborating with other library professionals.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain a clean and orderly library environment
• Ensure accurate cataloging of all books and other materials
• Assist patrons with inquiries about library resources
• Oversee circulation of library materials
• Coordinate activities such as book clubs or special programs
• Develop collections in response to community interests
• Prepare reports on library activities as required

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field is preferred
• Knowledge of cataloging systems such as MARC21 or AACR2 is preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with computer systems such as Windows or Mac OS is preferred

Salary: 1000 AED per month
