Optometrist - Umm-al-Qaiwain

We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join our team in Umm-al-Qaiwain. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services and performing routine eye exams.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive eye exams, including visual acuity tests, refraction tests, and other tests to assess patients’ vision.
• Diagnose eye diseases and vision conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, cataracts etc.
• Work with patients of all ages to determine their eyewear needs.
• Dispense prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Counsel patients on the proper use of contact lenses and spectacles.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists if necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or related field from an accredited university or institution.
• Proven experience as an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist is preferred.
• Ability to use a variety of equipment such as phoropters, retinoscopes etc.
• Demonstrated knowledge of optical physics and optics principles is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers from all walks of life.
