Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting or wallpapering by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint/wallpaper using appropriate tools and techniques
- Mix paint to desired color/texture using various mediums such as oil paints, acrylics, primers, sealers, etc. according to instructions from the client or supervisor
- Select appropriate brushes or rollers based on the type of paint being applied as well as the surface material/texture
- Paint walls, ceilings or other surfaces according to instructions from client/supervisor using brushes or spray guns
- Mask off surfaces not meant to be painted/decorated using tape and cloths
- Clean up after job completion including removal of all supplies and tools used

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Painter in either residential or commercial settings
- Ability to read blueprints/instructions and comprehend instructions accurately
- Excellent physical strength/stamina required for standing long hours while painting/decorating - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Knowledge of safety protocols related to painting/decorating - High School Diploma or equivalent required
