Job Responsibilities:
• Read blueprints and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW) or flux-cored arc welding (FCAW)
• Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness
• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers
• Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as welder within an industrial setting • Ability to interpret blueprints accurately • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings • Attention to detail • Excellent physical condition • Good eye-hand coordination
