Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Mason to join our team in Doha. In this role, you will be responsible for installing blocks, bricks and other forms of masonry structures to create walls, columns and other architectural features. You must have a solid understanding of masonry techniques and safety protocols. You must also have the ability to use hand tools such as trowels, levels and hammers. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team in order to complete projects quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for masonry installation by cleaning them.
• Measure distances accurately using levels, tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Lift heavy blocks or bricks with the help of cranes or hoists when needed.
• Cut and shape bricks or stones with saws or grinders according to the specifications given by architects or designers.
• Mix mortar with water and cement according to required consistency.
• Place bricks in cement bedding one after another in order to create walls or columns.
• Apply waterproofing compounds on masonry structures if required.
• Repair damaged sections of brickwork or stonework accurately by replacing them with new materials.
• Clean construction sites after finishing assigned tasks on time.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required for this role.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mason is essential for this role
• Good physical strength is required for lifting heavy materials like blocks, bricks etc on regular basis • Ability to work long hours outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions • Must have knowledge about safety protocols related to masonry work • Excellent problem solving skills are necessary in order to identify issues while working • Good communication skills are necessary as this job requires collaboration with other members of the team
