Chemical Engineer – Dubai, UAE

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Chemical Engineer to join our team in Dubai. This position will be responsible for carrying out engineering work related to the development of industrial processes. The successful candidate will be based in our Dubai office and will be expected to work onsite as needed. The salary package offered is 1500 AED per month. We are open to considering foreign applicants for this role.

Needs for the Candidate:
The ideal applicant must have a degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university and 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of chemical processes and process engineering is essential, as well as experience with safety regulations, HAZOP techniques, process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS or similar. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience working with hazardous chemicals in an industrial setting and/or those who hold relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.

Responsibilities:
The role of the Chemical Engineer is to develop process designs for manufacturing plants that meet customer requirements while adhering to safety regulations and industry best practices. This includes designing processes for new products or improving existing ones; developing process flow diagrams; carrying out calculations; evaluating process performance data; writing reports; preparing cost estimates; coordinating with vendors, contractors, etc.; performing risk assessments; leading HAZOP meetings; designing control systems using PIDs; simulating processes using software programs; and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Additional Requirements:
The successful applicant must possess excellent organizational skills, strong problem-solving abilities, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, good communication skills (written & verbal), attention to detail, excellent analytical skills & an aptitude for learning new technologies quickly. In addition to fluency in English (verbal & written), knowledge of Arabic is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
