Librarian vacancy in Jabal-Ali UAE for foreigners


We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Librarian to join our growing team in Jabal-Ali. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, organizing and managing the library’s collection of books, periodicals, audio and video materials, electronic resources, and other materials.

The ideal candidate should have an excellent grasp of library operations, including cataloging, classification systems, shelving techniques and other related processes. A master's degree in Library Science or a related field is preferred but not required. Knowledge of bibliographic resources and computerized database systems is also beneficial. In addition to these qualifications, the successful candidate should possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The job requires good customer service skills as well as the ability to interact professionally with patrons from diverse backgrounds. We are eager to consider a foreigner for this position who can bring their own cultural perspectives and experiences to enrich our library’s offerings.

The position offers a salary of 1300 AED per month plus additional benefits such as medical insurance and vacation time. The successful applicant will be expected to work standard office hours with some evening hours depending on the needs of the library patrons.
