As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing water pipes, plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial buildings. You should be able to read blueprints, diagrams or schematics in order to determine the layout of plumbing systems. You should also have the ability to identify potential problems with plumbing systems before they arise. Other duties include: inspecting drainage systems for blockages; conducting regular maintenance checks on pipes, fixtures and other components; detecting faults and malfunctions; replacing worn or damaged parts; ensuring all safety regulations are followed; liaising with clients to discuss their needs; negotiating contracts with suppliers; monitoring inventory levels; keeping up-to-date records of work done.

The ideal candidate should have an eye for detail as well as good problem solving skills. They should also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. We are willing to consider applicants without prior experience for this role, but it is preferred that you have some relevant experience or qualifications such as a diploma or certificate in plumbing from an accredited institution. The successful candidate will need a valid driver’s license in order to make trips between sites if necessary.
