Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for baking, be knowledgeable in pastry making techniques and have a creative eye for design. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and executing unique pastry recipes while ensuring that all food safety standards are met. You will also be responsible for managing inventory and cost control as well as training and supervising kitchen staff.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and bake delicate pastries, cakes, breads, cookies, etc., using a variety of methods such as rolling doughs, forming doughs into shapes, molding mixtures into shapes by hand or with machines, piping decorations on top of baked goods
• Ensure that all recipes follow food safety standards and adhere to health codes
• Monitor inventories of supplies needed for baking operations; order supplies when necessary
• Monitor kitchen staff performance and train them on proper pastry making techniques
• Create new recipes or modify existing ones to create innovative desserts
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience working as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a commercial kitchen setting
• Proven ability to create innovative recipes that adhere to food safety standards
• Knowledgeable in baking techniques such as rolling doughs, forming doughs into shapes or molding mixtures into shapes by hand or with machines • Ability to manage inventory and cost control • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train kitchen staff • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Immigrant candidates are welcome to apply
