Librarian – Abu Dhabi

We are looking to hire a qualified Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to research and manage information. The Librarian will be responsible for managing all aspects of the library, including cataloging resources, organizing collections, and providing readers' advisory services.

The successful candidate should possess an advanced degree in Library Science or a related field and have at least two years of experience working in a library setting. The ability to read, write and speak Arabic fluently is also desirable but not required.

Responsibilities:
• Develop library policies and procedures for cataloging resources, organizing collections, and providing readers’ advisory services
• Catalog books, magazines, videos, and other resources according to established guidelines
• Maintain current knowledge about new releases in relevant subject areas
• Provide readers’ advisory services to patrons on topics such as book selection and research materials
• Ensure the safe handling of library materials by patrons
• Oversee the daily operations of the library such as monitoring patron behavior
• Manage budget both for purchasing new material as well as operational expenses

Salary: 1500 AED per month. We are ready to consider foreign candidates for this position.
