Duties and Responsibilities:

The Chemist will be responsible for designing, managing and executing advanced chemical analysis projects. This includes assessing safety risks related to chemicals in the lab setting and providing guidance on the proper use of chemicals in research projects. The Chemist will also need to perform tests on materials in order to determine their composition or properties; analyze data from experiments; write reports; collaborate with other scientists; keep up-to-date on new technologies related to their field; and suggest improvements or modifications where necessary.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (or related field) plus at least two years’ experience working in a laboratory environment dealing with chemicals. Expertise in using various laboratory instruments is essential, as is knowledge of laboratory safety protocols. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, good organizational skills, excellent communication skills (written & verbal) are also required.
