Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a library of books and other materials, providing reference services, and performing related administrative duties. The position offers a salary of 1600 per month and we are ready to consider an immigrant for the role.

Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain library records such as circulation systems, inventories, indexes, etc.
• Provide reference services by helping patrons locate books or materials on their topics of interest.
• Assist patrons with using the library’s online databases or other electronic resources.
• Process new materials such as books or periodicals for access by patrons.
• Keep up-to-date on changes in the library field by reading professional literature, attending conferences or workshops, etc.
• Develop collections that meet the needs of the library’s patrons.
• Train staff members on new technologies or software programs used in the library system.
• Organize special events such as book signings or author readings at the library.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from an accredited college/university is preferred but not required if applicant has significant experience in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a library setting is preferred; knowledge of current trends in libraries is beneficial • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; proficiency with computers is essential • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues
