Librarian – Abu Dhabi

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a passion for books and literature. We are willing to consider candidates from abroad.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills and be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. The librarian will be responsible for managing the library, cataloguing materials, maintaining records, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities:
• Cataloguing of new materials entering the library
• Updating library records with new acquisitions
• Organizing materials according to established standards
• Assisting patrons in locating materials they need or want
• Maintaining an organized system of shelves and stacks to ensure easy access to materials
• Responding to reference inquiries from staff, students, faculty, and other members of the public
• Keeping up with current trends in library science techniques and technology

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or equivalent experience required
• Minimum one year experience working in a library setting preferred
• Excellent organizational skills
• Knowledge of cataloguing systems such as Dewey Decimal System or MARC record formats is desirable

Salary: 1600 AED per month.
