They must be able to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, inspect project sites for safety issues and compliance with regulations, calculate structural stability using advanced software tools, analyze survey data using specialized software programs, evaluate construction materials for quality assurance purposes, and ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.

Professional certification (e.g., PEng) is an asset but not required.
