Librarian vacancy in Dubai UAE for unskilled worker


Position: Librarian (Dubai, 1700 AED per month)

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate must possess a strong passion for books and literature, excellent organizational skills, and a good knowledge of library systems and processes.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or relevant field
• Minimum of two years experience working as a librarian
• Excellent research skills
• Knowledge of library cataloguing systems (e.g. Dewey Decimal System)
• Excellent communication skills in English language both written and spoken
• Experience with MS Office Suite and other computer software programs
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Some knowledge of Arabic language is preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities:
• Cataloguing new materials into the library system according to standard procedures
• Keeping track of the library inventory and ensuring materials are up-to-date and properly stored/shelved
• Assisting patrons with their research needs by providing advice on how to find information and resources effectively
• Ensuring that the physical environment of the library is clean, organized, secure, and safe for all patrons at all times
