Sommelier Position

A high-end restaurant in Dubai is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the world of wine and has a real eye for detail. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be able to provide knowledgeable advice on a wide range of wines.

Responsibilities:

• Advise customers on suitable wine selections, including pairing with food
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of wines, vintages and regions
• Handle orders, store and rotate wine stock, take inventory, restock shelves
• Ensure orders are up to date and accurate at all times
• Create attractive displays of wines
• Develop relationships with suppliers to secure the best quality products at competitive prices
• Monitor guest feedback and use it to improve wine offerings
• Participate in staff training sessions on different types of wines
• Uphold the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Sommelier in a fine dining setting
• Proven extensive knowledge of wines from all regions
• Ability to work well under pressure while delivering excellent customer service
• Excellent communication skills both verbal & written (English)

Salary: We offer an attractive salary package with a base salary of 1600 AED per month.
