The responsibilities of this position include preparing surfaces by scraping old paint or wallpaper; applying primers; mixing paints or stains; using brushes, rollers or spray guns; repairing cracks; measuring surfaces; filling holes; cleaning up after each project; meeting deadlines; and following safety regulations.

The successful candidate must have prior experience as a painter in both residential or commercial properties; possess knowledge of basic carpentry skills such as measuring surfaces and filling holes; have an eye for details when selecting colors or techniques for each project; have excellent communication skills with the ability to take direction from supervisors; be physically fit as some lifting may be required in order to move furniture around while painting walls or ceilings; have the ability to manage their time efficiently in order to meet deadlines without compromising on quality results.
