The primary responsibility of the Sales Manager is to develop new business opportunities by identifying, qualifying and closing deals with customers. The individual must be able to effectively manage customer relationships throughout the sales process, while also developing marketing strategies to reach potential clients. This includes planning sales campaigns, attending industry events, networking activities and managing client accounts. The Sales Manager must also ensure that customer satisfaction is kept high throughout the process by providing excellent customer service and follow up support when needed.
To be successful in this role you should possess strong communication skills alongside commercial acumen and a proven track record of sales achievement. You should have an excellent understanding of the market and be able to identify new leads as well as manage existing clients. A degree in Business Administration or equivalent is preferred but not essential if other qualifications are met along with several years of experience in sales management or business development roles.
