Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receiving payments from customers in cash, by credit cards, or by checks
- Counting money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change for customers
- Balancing daily transactions in the register system or computer system at the end of each shift
- Answering customer questions about products, prices, services, etc.
- Processing refunds, exchanges or returns of merchandise as needed

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent certification required
- Previous experience working as a cashier preferred
- Excellent customer service skills; ability to respond effectively to customer inquiries
- Strong math skills; ability to accurately make change and calculate discounts
- Ability to maintain balance in a fast paced environment; able to work quickly and efficiently without compromising accuracy
