Dental Assistant – Sharjah

Salary: AED 1300

We are looking to hire a Dental Assistant for our clinic in Sharjah. The ideal candidate should have no experience, but should be willing to learn and take on new challenges. We are open to considering foreign candidates for this position.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in dental assistant is preferable but not required
• Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to work effectively with customers and staff
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assisting the dentist during dental procedures including preparation of instruments and supplies, sterilizing instruments, taking x-rays, taking patient’s vital signs, etc.
• Preparing patients for dental treatments by explaining the procedure and ensuring that they are comfortable throughout the procedure.
• Keeping a record of patient’s medical history, treatments received, medications prescribed, etc.
• Cleaning and sterilizing all instruments used for dental treatments as per regulations.
• Maintaining cleanliness in the treatment room at all times.

Job Description:
The Dental Assistant will be responsible for assisting the dentist during routine dental procedures as well as preparing patients for their treatment by explaining the procedure to them. They must possess good communication skills in English and be able to work effectively with both customers and staff. Additionally they must have basic knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures as well as understanding safety protocols regarding the use of equipment and sterilization of instruments.
