Librarian Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will join a team of professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the library, selecting and organizing books, and providing services to patrons. The Librarian must also be able to provide assistance with research activities. We are seeking an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about library systems.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the daily operations of the library
• Select, organize, and catalog books according to established procedures
• Provide assistance with research activities
• Assist patrons with locating materials
• Maintain accurate records of library transactions
• Ensure all materials are properly stored and shelved according to library guidelines
• Ensure that the library is kept in a neat and orderly fashion
• Assist in developing educational programs for patrons
• Provide reference services as needed

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Previous experience working as a Librarian or in a related role • Knowledge of library systems and cataloging procedures • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong customer service skills • Open to immigrants • Salary: AED 1800/Month
