Job Title: Librarian

Job Description:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team at the Bani Yas City Library. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing, cataloguing, and managing the library’s collection of books, magazines, newspapers, and other materials. You will also be responsible for helping patrons locate and access materials they need.

In this role, you should have excellent organizational skills as well as excellent customer service abilities. You should also be comfortable using computers and library databases.

Responsibilities:
• Cataloguing new materials into the library’s database using accepted standards
• Assisting patrons in locating materials they need
• Maintaining the library’s cleanliness and organization
• Helping patrons with computer-related tasks such as setting up email accounts or searching the internet
• Providing instruction on how to use library resources
• Updating the library’s website with news about new materials or activities
• Preparing and presenting reports regarding circulation statistics or other data to senior management
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Experience working in a library setting preferred but not required
• Knowledge of library cataloging systems (e.g., Dewey Decimal System) preferred but not required
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent customer service abilities • Ability to use computers comfortably
