Job Description:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have a passion for knowledge and the ability to effectively manage library resources. This position is responsible for organizing, cataloging, and managing library collections, as well as providing readers with access to materials.

The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field, as well as relevant experience in library management. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are essential for this role. The ability to work independently and collaboratively is also required. Responsibilities:
• Manage the library collection by organizing, cataloging, and classifying materials according to established systems
• Provide readers with access to materials by issuing cards, verifying records, locating materials, and resolving reader complaints
• Respond to requests from patrons for information related to the library collection or services offered
• Assist readers in locating materials within the library or online resources
• Maintain current knowledge of trends in the field of librarianship by attending conferences, workshops, and seminars
• Train library staff on new software and systems used in libraries
• Develop promotional material for new acquisitions or other programs offered through the library

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field
• Previous experience in a library setting
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
