Job Title: Librarian

Salary: 1200 AED per month

Job Description:
We are looking for a Librarian to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidate will provide efficient and effective library services to the public at our location. You will be responsible for maintaining the library's collection, organizing materials and assisting patrons with their research needs. Additionally, you will be required to keep up-to-date on new literature and technologies related to your field.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain the library's collections by cataloguing, verifying and organizing materials according to established standards.
• Assist patrons with their research needs by providing reference services and advice on library resources.
• Check out books, magazines and other materials upon request.
• Update library databases with information about newly acquired materials.
• Train new volunteers or student assistants in the use of the library's resources and systems.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field is required; Master’s degree preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of current cataloguing systems, such as MARC 21
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
