Job Description:
We are looking for a Librarian to join our library in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and managing our library resources. This includes cataloging and classifying books and other materials according to established procedures; maintaining the library’s online catalog; helping patrons locate materials; responding to requests for bibliographic information; and providing general reference assistance. The successful candidate should also be able to develop and promote the library’s collections, programs, services, and activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or Information Science or related field.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer literacy with knowledge of current technologies used in libraries.
• Knowledge of basic research techniques for finding information on the internet.
