Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Librarian to join our team in Dubai. We are offering an excellent salary of 900 per month and are willing to consider a foreign applicant. The successful candidate should have minimal work experience but be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills and customer service experience. In this role you will be responsible for managing the library, overseeing the collection of materials, organizing resources and providing reference services to patrons.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Organizing library materials in accordance with established procedures
• Assisting patrons in locating books, magazines or other materials
• Developing online catalogs or other databases for library resources
• Maintaining accurate records of library resources including circulation records
• Preparing reports on library usage statistics
• Promoting library services through social media or other channels

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field required
• Knowledge of cataloging systems such as MARC 21 or AACR2 preferred
• Proficient computer skills including use of word processing programs, databases and spreadsheets required
• Ability to provide excellent customer service while adhering to established policies/procedures
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required
