Optometrist – Abu-Dhabi

We are seeking a passionate and highly-skilled Optometrist to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services and treatments to our patients. This position offers a competitive salary of 1600 AED per month. Experience is not necessary, as we are willing to train the right individual.

The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse patient base. The Optometrist must demonstrate knowledge of ophthalmic instruments, lenses, contact lens materials and designs, and other optical products used in the practice of optometry. They must also be able to analyze test results quickly and accurately diagnose eye conditions.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Examining eyes for vision defects, eye health, and the presence of disease or abnormality
• Selecting lenses and frames for eyeglasses, contact lenses or vision therapy
• Prescribing medications for treating eye diseases or injuries
• Performing vision tests using specialized equipment such as lenses, charts, prisms, colored filters, etc.
• Counseling patients on proper eye care techniques
• Monitoring patient progress after treatments or surgeries have been completed
• Updating medical records regularly with patient information

Applicants should possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal in order to effectively communicate with patients. The successful candidate must also possess an active Optometry license from the Abu Dhabi Health Authority (HAAD).
