Librarian Position - Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are seeking a highly motivated Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library and helping patrons find the resources they need. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and helping others.

The salary for this position is 1500 AED per month and we are willing to consider an immigrant for this role. No prior experience is required as we are happy to provide training on the job.

The responsibilities of the librarian include:
• Organizing library materials and resources according to classification systems;
• Assisting patrons with locating resources and cataloging new materials;
• Creating library policies and procedures;
• Updating library collections;
• Developing promotional programs for library events;
• Assisting patrons in using computers and other electronic media;
• Training staff on library procedures;
• Developing online databases of library materials.

The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, knowledge of library automation systems, strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities and an eye for detail. Candidates must also be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Knowledge of a foreign language is desirable but not essential.
