Psychiatrist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to join our team in Doha. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services to individuals in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:
• Assess mental health status of patients through interviews, tests, and physical examinations
• Provide accurate diagnoses by formulating effective treatment plans
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment accordingly
• Prescribe medications as needed and monitor patient response to medications
• Provide psychotherapy to individuals, groups, families, or couples to find solutions to mental health issues or crises
• Document patient information completely and accurately in the medical record
• Keep informed of new developments in the field through continuing education activities
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.

Requirements:
• Medical degree from a recognized university or college plus specialized training in psychiatry.
• Board certification or eligibility for certification in psychiatry preferred.
• Will consider recent graduates with minimal work experience.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ablity to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Salary: 1400 QAR per month (negotiable for the right candidate). We are also willing to consider an immigrant with the necessary qualifications.
