Job Description:

The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting surveys of properties, land, buildings, or other structures using specialized equipment such as total stations or GPS systems to collect accurate measurements and data. The position requires knowledge of modern surveying techniques, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. The following tasks will also be expected:

• Inspect sites before surveys to ensure accuracy
• Operate specialized survey instruments such as total stations or GPS systems to gather data accurately
• Calculate distances, angles, elevations, relative positions and other characteristics of terrain using trigonometry and geometry
• Prepare drawings or reports containing survey results
• Analyze collected data and compare it with existing maps or plans to identify discrepancies

Qualifications/Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field preferred
• Proven experience with surveying instruments
• Proficiency in mathematical calculations
• Knowledge of design software programs such as AutoCAD is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills
