Optometrist, Doha - Salary 1000 QAR

We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing excellent patient care and have a passion for eyecare. This role will involve carrying out a wide range of eye tests and providing appropriate advice and treatment.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations including refraction, contact lens fitting, ocular health assessments and prescribing of corrective lenses.
• Diagnose eye diseases by conducting tests such as slit lamp examination, fundus examination and visual field testing.
• Prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide patients with advice on how to correctly use their eyewear or contact lenses in order to maximize the benefits of their vision correction options.
• Educate patients about proper vision care techniques such as proper nutrition and vision protection from ultraviolet light exposure.
• Keep accurate records of patient information and visits.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in optometry technology and treatments.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution is essential
• Minimum 2 years experience as an Optometrist is required; experience with foreign patients is preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English; Arabic language proficiency is preferred
