Sommelier – Dubai

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Sommelier to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be passionate about wine and knowledgeable about the industry. You will be responsible for selecting and managing the wine menu in our restaurant as well as helping customers to select wines that best suit their tastes. You will also be responsible for providing education and training on various wine topics to staff, customers, and guests.

Responsibilities:
• Select and manage the wine menu in our restaurant
• Assist customers with selecting wines that best suit their tastes
• Provide education and training on various wine topics to staff, customers, and guests
• Advise on food pairings with different wines
• Ensure quality standards are met in regards to service, presentation, temperature of wines served etc.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with suppliers
• Ensure stock levels are maintained at optimum levels at all times
• Stay up-to-date on trends in the industry by attending events or reading publications.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in hospitality/wine related studies preferred
• At least 3 years of experience working as a sommelier
• Extensive knowledge of food pairings with different wines
• Excellent customer service skills and an ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to effectively communicate complex topics related to wine with guests from diverse backgrounds

Salary: 1000 AED
