Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified Electrician to join our team in Al-Kuwait. This position will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing all types of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. They must be highly motivated, have a strong work ethic and be able to pay attention to detail. Salary is 1800 per month and we are willing to consider immigrant candidates.
Job Responsibilities
• Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures and other related products as per applicable codes
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment
• Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers or other components
• Operate power tools such as drills, saws or other hand tools associated with the trade
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment and fixtures using hand tools or power tools
• Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
• Work with residential customers to diagnose issues with their electrical systems
• Install new lighting fixtures or other electrical components in both commercial buildings or homes
• Provide technical advice on the installation of new electrical systems or repairs to existing ones.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Completion of an apprenticeship program in Electrical Engineering/Technology/Trade is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of applicable codes such as NEC (National Electric Code) is essential
• Valid driver’s license is required for some jobs in order to travel between customer locations
• Ability to read blueprints or technical diagrams • Good problem solving abilities • Strong communication skills • Good physical strength and stamina • Attention to detail
