Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Sommelier to join our restaurant in Dubai. The successful applicant will be expected to provide expert advice on wine selection, storage and serving. The salary offered is 1500 AED per month, and we are open to considering an immigrant for this position.

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Sommelier will be to provide customers with exceptional wine service. This includes selecting wines from our extensive list; providing food-wine pairings; educating staff on wine knowledge; ensuring the proper storage and maintenance of wine stock; monitoring sales trends; establishing an inventory system; and ensuring all applicable laws and regulations are adhered to. The selected candidate must also be able to maintain strong relationships with suppliers, as well as represent our establishment at special events and tastings.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have at least three years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a high-end establishment. They should also have a deep knowledge of wines from around the world, as well as excellent customer service skills. A certification from an accredited institution or program is preferred but not essential for this role. Fluency in English is required, as well as any other language relevant to Dubai's diverse population (e.g., Arabic). Lastly, being eligible for immigration will be advantageous but not essential for this position.
