Duties & Responsibilities
- Designing chemical processes or products as well as researching new methods of production or manufacturing.
- Developing safety procedures for those working with potentially dangerous chemicals.
- Evaluating equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Analyzing data from tests or experiments to determine process efficiency or to diagnose malfunctions.
- Using computer assisted engineering software such as AutoCAD to develop designs for process equipment layout or facility design projects in the chemical industry.
- Preparing estimates of material costs or time requirements for project completion.
- Supervising maintenance personnel on technical matters related to chemical processes or products within the company.

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university/college/institution; Masters’ Degree preferred but not essential
- 3+ years’ experience working in a similar role within a chemical engineering related setting; experience in the Gulf region would be beneficial but not essential
- Excellent problem solving skills; able to analyze complex data quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including colleagues, managers and external customers
- Up to date knowledge of relevant safety protocols related to hazardous materials
