Responsibilities:
As Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations including menu planning, ordering supplies, managing food costs, creating new dishes, supervising staff members, monitoring quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations and developing relationships with local vendors and suppliers. You will also be responsible for training new staff members on kitchen procedures and ensuring that the kitchen runs efficiently at all times.
Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have prior experience working in a professional kitchen setting or have completed formal culinary training from a recognized institution. Additionally, the ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills as well as strong problem-solving abilities. The ability to work independently or within a team setting is necessary. Experience managing staff is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
